I started today by sanding the aft edge of the canopy where some additional trimming had been done some time ago. Then I removed all the aft cabin window forward edge retaining screws to add some loctite thread locker to the threads to help prevent any screws from loosening. Next I fabricated a filler plate for the engine lower cowling to close part of the nose gear leg slot. The slot is extra long to accommodate cowling removal and installation but once the cowling is installed the slot is longer than upper intersection fairing, leaving a gap between the fairing and the cowling at the front of the slot. The filler fills the gap. Lastly I put together a kit of all the wing attach hardware so when I attach the wings when the project is at the airport I have every bolt, nut and washer needed.
